This is not your typical blog, more of a proud daddy showing off type of blog. Some of our local schools did not have classes today (Jan. 22) for a teacher and staff training session. This gave me the opportunity to bring my seven year old to work today and show him what I do.

Jacob and I started the day with show prep, looking at news stories and events happening in our area.  Of course, Like the typical seven year old, he got bored quickly and kicked back watching videos and playing games quietly, which is a real surprise for me. Then we did a little production work for Tony and Kris as well as Taste of Country Nights. I tried to get him to read something for me but that didn't work out very well. This Is probably more exciting for me then for him because I don't always get to spend as much time with him as I would like. I guess I consider myself lucky to work for a company that will allow me to bring him in here and show him what I get to do every day.

Later, we will take a tour of the station, have lunch and maybe torture Mike McKelly and Bobby Guy with and endless Barrage of questions.  Come Monday, I will let you know if I still have any hair left.

What are you doing with your kids this weekend? We would love to hear from you, just leave us a comment below.

Have a great weekend.
