Country artist Caroline Dare is premiering her song "Divide" exclusively for readers of The Boot. Press play below to listen.

Fans of Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini will find a lot to like in Dare, who pairs breezy vocals over a catchy (yet mellow) backbeat. Dare wrote "Divide" in a single day, inspired by seeing the downfall of relationships around her; singer-songwriter Greg Bates and producer / studio musician Ben Jackson produced the track.

""Divide" is about a girl who has bad luck with relationships, and she just can't seem to find the right person," Dare tells The Boot. "[I] love the chill vibe the recording has! Greg and Ben are immensely creative and talented, and it was an incredible experience to witness it all come together."

After picking up a guitar at the age of 10, Dare has come a long way in a few short years: She's shared a stage with the Band Perry, Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler and Chris Young, among others. The 16-year-old will soon release her sophomore EP, Take It or Leave It, on which "Divide" appears, on April 6.

Dare has amassed a community of dedicated online fans that she's grown over the past couple of years, and she regularly performs live online concerts. Visit CarolineDareMusic.com to learn more.
