Ride the Rails on Two Wheels: Amtrak To Allow Bicycles on Trains to Chicago
For a small fee, Amtrak riders from Grand Rapids to Chicago can bring their bikes along for the ride.

Amtrak and Michigan Department of Transportation have added bike racks to their Pere Marquette trains serving Grand Rapids, Holland, St. Joseph-Benton Harbor and Chicago.
For an extra $10 fee, train riders can bring their bicycles on the train and enjoy scenic Lake Shore Drive once they get to the Windy City.
Here's hoping the experiment is a success and Amtrak adds it to their Wolverine and Blue Water trains serving the rest of Michigan including Kalamazoo.
