The J.S. Seaverens sank in Michipicoten harbor in 1884 was recently found almost fully intact.

The Seaverens was built in Detroit and called Saugatuck home. While backing out of the dockfor the voyage back to Michigan, according to Smithsonian.com, they hit a rock. Instead of calling of the voyage, they carried on, a decision that would prove to be disastrous. The ship was lost. Fortunately, no one died when the boat sank. It was discovered in 2016, off the coast of Canada. Check out this video of the wreck as it now sits.

The conditions of its sinking are described as "benign" with calm weather and no lives lost.
