NASCAR Winston Cup driver and Camping World Truck Series 2008 Champion Johnny Benson recently sat down with Ray Dunlap from Fox Sports.

After chatting briefly about mountain biking and frisbee golf, all Johnny wanted to talk about was this young new driver he was working with.

Young.

Twelve years old.

That's like, 6th or 7th grade, right?

Kalamazoo's Scott Hocevar may be young but he's no rookie. Kalamazoo Speedway fans and card and coin collectors know Carson's dad Scott; he's the Scott in Scott's Sports Cards.

Carson has been honing his skills at Little Kalamazoo Speedway and has been competing this year at Berlin Raceway in Marne, just North of Grand Rapids. Johnny Benson cut his teeth at Berlin as well and recognizes the talent of Carson.

It's going to be interesting to see what this kid's future is going to hold for him.
