Try the One-of-a-Kind Donut Dog at the Donut & Beer Festival
A Sweetwater's donut makes the hot dog bun for a 1/4 pound frankfurter; add whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry and you get an incredible treat.
The first ever Donut & Beer Festival happens Saturday, August 24 at Homer-Stryker Field. The Kalamazoo Growler's stopped by to give us a preview of some of the creations you will enjoy at this unique event. The "Donut Dog" is a quarter pound hot dog inside a long john from Sweetwater's Donut Mill. Topped with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry it was a sweet and salty delight!
V.I.P. tickets are sold out for the Donut & Beer Fest but there are some general admission tickets remaining for an afternoon of samples from about 30 craft breweries and two-dozen bakers plus cider, live music, yard games and fun.
