It's not every day that the police will tell you where they'll be on the highway.  Wednesday evening, they'll be out in full force on I-94 between Wings Stadium and Oshtemo.

According to Paw Paw State Police, it's a joint effort between their post, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, Portage Police and Kalamazoo Township Police.

Who: Five police agencies

What: A  traffic initiative to enforce traffic violations in an area that has experienced a high number of traffic crashes.

When:  August 22, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.,

Where: Along I-94 between mile markers 72 (Oshtemo) and 81 (Sprinkle Road).

Why: Police want to make the public more aware of the consequences of poor driving habits in an effort to reduce traffic crashes and ensure people arrive to their destination safely.
