There is a unique lingering piece of Pontiac Sliverdome history and the state of Michigan is putting it up for auction.

Two highway signs that once alerted drivers along I-75 to the Silverdome exit will be auctioned off by the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The auction runs September 10-24. Generally old signs are recycled by the DOT, but the Auburn Hills MDOT garage said there was considerable interest in these old signs.

They are

two aluminum signs are each roughly 7 feet by 14 feet, weigh approximately 225 pounds, and are in good condition.
