Paw Paw Is On A ‘MARATHON’ Of Demolition Projects

Last week saw the wrecking ball hit the shopping center building. Imagine my surprise to see this.

This year has already seen the demolition of the old Shopping Center and now the Demolition and remodel of the Marathon gas station on the corner of Red Arrow  and Hazen street. Last week, I witnessed the start to the demolition to what had been a Paw Paw staple for many years to make way for a new residential/retail building. Then on Sunday as I was heading through town I saw nothing left but the soda coolers at the 'other' Marathon station that sits on the west side of town.

I looked for a cold one, nothing.
