Three countries will host the World Cup in 2026.  United States, Canada and Mexico will all feature games throughout the tournament.  Will Michigan have any matches this time around?

According to CBS Sports, the three countries, U.S.A, Canada and Mexico will host  with the United States  featuring the majority of matches.

With the three countries hosting what cities across those countries will be hosting matches?

In 1994 Pontiac featured matches at the Silverdome.   The Silverdome is no more so will we be seeing matches elsewhere like Ford Field or Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor?

Unfortunately Michigan will be shut out.  The lists of host cities for the U.S. list 17 potential cities and from that list it will be cut down to 10.   No Michigan city is listed and the closest city to Michigan is Cincinnati.

Los Angeles,New York/New Jersey and Dallas should be cities that will have matches as they all hosted back in 1994.

Many of the other cities have Major League Soccer franchises so any of those would be good host cities.

As for the cities in Mexico and Canada those have already been selected. Edmonton, Montreal and Toronto will host in Canada.  Gaudalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey will host in Mexico.

It is still great news to hear that the World Cup is coming back I just hope the U.S.A National team steps it up and becomes competitive again.   They have 4 years to get back to respectability and qualify for the next Cup, which will be in Qatar.
