WHAT: Is mom a Civil War buff? Kalamazoo Valley Museum has a free exhibit on how the people of Kalamazoo County lived through the Civil War.

Family Fun Chamber Music
WHAT: Does mom love spending time with the kids and grandkids? The Kalamazoo Symphony will be perfoming music from "Peter and the Wolf" and others.

Gilmore Car Museum Dust Off
WHAT: It's the first event of the season at Gilmore Car Museum. Bring your classic car to show off or just show up to check out the hot rods. Mom will get some sun strolling around the grounds.

COST: This season opening event is only $8 per person if you show your ride, spectators see the entire museum and car show for $12 per person.

Kalamazoo Speedway
WHAT: If Mom would rather see the cars go fast, head out to Kalamazoo Speedway for the second race of the season on Saturday night.
