While in Chicago I had an amazing lunch with two friends from England that I only knew from Facebook before now. Ian and Janey Beavan flew in from Leintwardine  for their honeymoon and I knew it was going to be the only chance I would have to meet them for a long time. Ian and I became friends through a Pink Floyd fan page on Facebook after realizing we had similar interests. We have exchanged posts and shared each others daily events. Ian owns his own business and contracts with the local counsel/government in his home town.

We ate at The Cheesecake Factory that is located in The John Hancock Building.  As we looked at the dessert menu, Ian swore he wouldn't eat cheesecake because he had it once before and didn't like it.  Once convinced to try it his eyes lit up, which made Janey smile (did I mention she has a beautiful smile, you're a lucky man, Ian). He said he never expected anything like that. Aside from the fantastic lunch and conversation, my 12 year old daughter, who never runs out of things to say, was speechless and couldn't get enough of the English accent. Speechless that is, until we left. once we said goodbye and went our separate ways, she couldn't stop talking about them and how badly she wants to see them again but this time in their country. In the end,  we all left with our hearts as full as our stomachs. Looks like a trip across the ocean is in my future.

So, Happy Birthday Ian and congratulations on your marriage. I hope you have many happy years ahead of you. I hope we can meet again.
