‘Little House on the Prairie’ Star Melissa Gilbert to Run for Congress in Michigan
Vote "Half-Pint" for Little House of Representatives on the Prairie.
Did you know Melissa Gilbert lived in the Great Lakes State?
The former Little House on the Prairie star moved to Michigan 2 years ago after marrying actor Timothy Busfield, who you may remember from Revenge of the Nerds and the television series Thirtysomething.
The now 51-year-old actress has never held public office, but was president of the Screen Actors Guild from 2001 to 2005.
Melissa Gilbert is running in Michigan's 8th congressional district which includes part of Lansing and the cities of Brighton, Rochester Hills, Howell, Mason, Okemos, East Lansing, and others.
I’m running for Congress to make life a little easier for all the families who feel they have fallen through the cracks in today’s economy. I believe building a new economy is a team effort, and we need to bring fresh voices to the table to get the job done.
