Late Harvest Grapes Taste Like Candy

Michigan's harvest season is near its end. A recent trip to U-pick orchard found Concord grapes that are sweeter then ever. 

Over the weekend, I took my kids to Schultz Fruitridge Farm for some fresh picked fruit. We found some Concord grapes still on the vine and they tasted sweeter then the grapes we had picked mid-season. I don't know why and the employees could not explain it to me. if you know the answer, tell us in the comments.
