Holland, Michigan's Labor Day Truck Parade is a unique event that turns up the volume on the holiday weekend.

Labor Day is a holiday to celebrate those who do the work. People who labor are precisely the ones who lead the procession of Holland's Labor Day Truck Parade.

You won't find any beauty queens, baton-twirlers, flag flyers, floats, politicians, clowns or even marching bands in this procession. Seventy-five heavy-duty vehicles representing area businesses caravan from downtown Zeeland to the neighboring city of Holland in the Labor Day Truck Parade. You will see furniture makers like Herman Miller, Steelcase and Trendway in the lineup as well as agriculture companies like Zeeland Farm Service and all of the leading manufacturing companies of Ottawa County, plus the cleanest garbage trucks you've ever seen.

Then there's the noise... What does every kid do when they see a semi-truck? Ball their fist and pump their arm up and down to get the driver to honk! These drivers love to do that, making the Labor Day Truck Parade the loudest festival in Michigan.

The 2018 Labor Day Truck Parade starts at 9:15 a.m. on September 3 in downtown Zeeland and rolls into Holland around 9:30- see the new parade route here.
