The music world lost a legend on Monday (Jan. 18), when Eagles guitarist and founding member Glenn Frey passed away at the age of 67 following complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia.

The music community has been sharing memories and covers of Eagles songs in remembrance of Frey's long legacy. In a video post late Monday night, Keith Urban shares his condolences with Frey's family by performing a cover of the band's "Take It Easy."

"So deeply saddened tonight to hear of Glenn Frey's passing. Way too young.... Blessings to all of his family and the Eagles!," he writes on Facebook.

Urban sits down alone at his piano as he begins to play two minutes of the Eagles' first single, "Take It Easy," which was released in 1972 and was written by Frey and Jackson Browne. One of the band's best known songs, it peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard charts and was the opening track to he Eagles' debut album in 1972.

The Eagles shared the news of Frey's death in a post on their Facebook page, writing, "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our comrade, Eagles founder, Glenn Frey, in New York City on Monday, January 18th, 2016."

Sharing thank you's for those who prayed for Frey's recovery, the band posted the lyrics to a song from the Eagles’ album Long Road Out of Eden called “It’s Your World Now.” "Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide," they conclude.
