Honor the 9-11 heroes at Wings Event Center on September 11.

The 2016 Kalamazoo 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on September 11, 2016 commemorates the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States in 2001.

Once again, firefighters, first responders, emergency personnel and "regular people" like you and I will scale the equivalent of 110 stories on the steps at Wings Event Center to honor the 343 New York Firefighters who lost their lives at the World Trade Center.

According to the event's Facebook page:

Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows that we will never forget.

The climb is open to anyone of any ability and is a non-competitive event. Registration is $35 and the idea is to raise as much money for your efforts as possible with proceeds going to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

You can show your support and contribute by making you tax-deductable donation on my personal page or sign up yourself or put together a team.
