With cool, family friendly exhibits like Popnology, kids rides, and interactive demonstrations, the Air Zoo really is one of the coolest places in Southwest Michigan. It's so much more than restored places, and beautiful murals; the Air Zoo combines science, technology, and fun to bring learning about aerospace down to earth.
Spend the day watching Chinese red pandas play, welcome the brand new lion exhibit, feed the giraffes in Wild Africa, and learn how Binder Park Zoo is taking steps to be at the forefront of conservation.
Think spring and take a hike on one of the many trails the Nature Center has to offer. Or, learn about programs they offer for all ages. The Membership Exchange is a great way to learn more about the Nature Center, and how it can benefit your family. Ask about their family program every Sunday at 2:00pm.
Use any membership involved in the exchange to get in to the KIA for free all May long. See the latest exhibits from regional, national, and international artists, and learn how you can take classes and hone your creative side. They offer programs in everything from painting to printmaking; there's bound to be something that trips your trigger and inspires the artist within. Also, be sure to ask about their Saturday photography classes at the Nature Center, Binder Park Zoo, and the Gilmore Car Museum.
People come from all around the country to visit the Gilmore Car Museum, and now is your chance to see it all for free! Check out the nearly 400 restored vehicles while walking around the 90-acre campus that is part museum part film studio lot. Did you know you can learn to drive a Model T? Neither did I!
