25 ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Rumors That Turned Out to Be False

The following post contains SPOILERS — both real and hilariously fake ones that got shared online even though they were untrue — for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Well, there were less false rumors online for X-Men: Apocalypse than there were for Batman v Superman, Civil War, or Star Wars. Maybe that’s progress? Or maybe less people care about X-Men than those other franchises? I don’t know.

Either way, we’ve only got 25 false rumors to share about the latest X-Men sequel, which opens in theaters around this country today without the likes of rumored mutants cast members Bishop, Cable, and Gambit. (One post tried to predict 17 different X-Men who could show up in X-Men: Apocalypse. It only got two right.) Some of these are reasonable. Some of them are insane. But they are all inaccurate.
