When you think of sleds pulled by a team of huskies through rough winter terrain, you undoubtedly think of the Iditarod race in Alaska. But sled dogs are also hard at work on the campus of Michigan Tech in Houghton, as this video proves.

Located near the northern tip of the Upper Peninsula in Houghton, the campus of Michigan Tech is famous for heavy snowfall and unpredictable weather. A student recently filmed a pack of dogs mushing across campus.

Dog sled races are common in the Upper Peninsula with one of the best known being the UP 200 which runs out from Marquette to Grand Marias.

So how much more natural could dog sledding be to Michigan Teach? The school's mascot, appropriately enough, is the Husky.
