Chris Young found more than just a singing partner in his "Think of You" collaborator, Cassadee Pope: The successful song -- which became Young's second No. 1 single from his 2015 chart-topping album, I'm Comin' Over -- inspired Young to invite Pope on the road with him, on his I'm Comin' Over Tour, and their working relationship has blossomed into an enduring friendship.

"I definitely look out for her. I'm friends with her, and her boyfriend as well," Young tells The Boot. "She’s somebody that I believe in so much. She has such a great voice. She’s such a great person, as well as a great artist, so I’m definitely in her corner. I don’t think I’ve hidden that at all."

Young's I'm Comin' Over Tour is now scheduled to run until the end of the year, thanks to fans' overwhelming support.

"I’m really, really happy that we were able to extend it," says Young. "Being able to have Dan + Shay out on some of the shows, Dustin [Lynch] on some of the shows, and then obviously Cassadee back out, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I like staying busy, and I never have a problem with it when people are enjoying it and showing up."

In fact, Young's busy itinerary has taught the country music hitmaker an important lesson.

"I think I’ve learned quite a bit of stuff this year. But probably the biggest thing for me is scheduling," Young admits. "I’m the kind of person who would schedule stuff too close together. I’ve learned to give space for unexpected things that are going to happen, whether it’s meetings or songwriting."

And when he does have some free time, Young's favorite way to unwind, fortuitously, works well with his career.

"One of my favorite things to do to decompress is listen to music," he shares. "It’s a good thing that that’s what I do for a living, but it really, truly is."
