New owner of Lakeside Pizza  and Scoops Ice Cream building, sent a letter to Gun Lake residents that they cannot use his lakefront property without paying a huge price. Lucas Spoor, the new owner of Lakeside Pizza and Scoops Ice Cream, also owns the lakefront property directly across the street and has told residents that have used the area for docking their boats for free that they will now have to pay. According to the FOX17 report,

Spoor sent residents a letter demanding they not dock their boats at his property this summer. Spoor tells the FOX 17 Problem Solvers  that his decision is just business.  He says he can make $1,200 to $1,500 for those spots.  He says he did offer them to the neighborhood association at a discounted price of $800.

The Sam's Landing Association has used the property since the 1930s

Now, what was not made clear in the story is that Lakeside Pizza and Scoops Ice cream only rent space in the building and are NOT owned by Spoor.
