This past weekend travels brought me to Lansing.  My wife had heard about this great breakfast place in Old Town Lansing called, Golden Harvest.   Seeing we rarely make it up that way, she invited her folks and went to see what it was about.

Two things to know about Golden Harvest, It is small and prepare to wait as there is always a huge line.  When I say wait, we ended up waiting for close to two hours.  Once in we probably waited another half hour for the food.

The food is that good.  Since reading someone raving about it on a review, I ended up having a half order of Biscuits and Gravy.  I also had a bowl of their Cheesy Grits as that was mentioned in the same review.   I have had what you would call your normal biscuits and gravy.  These were just another level of good, one of the best I've ever had.  The grits also rocked.

They had a specials board which I noticed had many interesting items on it. From omelettes to pancakes everything looked good.  My wife had one of their tasty omelettes which she enjoyed, but wishes she tried the Strawberry Snicker Doodle French Toast.

Like the outside, there are all sorts of various items lining the walls inside,  they also like to play their music loud!

If you are looking for something different, love breakfast and don't mind the wait.   Check out Golden Harvest in Old Town Lansing.
