Beginning in March expect to see a smaller menu at Dunkin' Donuts in West Michigan.  Find out what items are disappearing below.

This 'simplified menu' rolled out Monday, Jan 8th in New England and is expected to hit West Michigan by mid-March.  According to the Boston Herald,

“Franchisees have been asking for something like this for quite some time,” said Chris Fuqua, Dunkin’s senior vice president of operations strategy and supply chain. “They’re facing challenges with labor, and we’re always looking to maximize profitability for franchisees. If you can remove products that are more difficult to make or ... consumers aren’t asking for as much, you can make the stores easier to work in, and you can positively impact their (profit and loss statement).”

Here are the items getting the ax:

  • Smoothies
  • Turkey Sandwiches
  • Cheddar and Bacon Sandwiches
  • Ham and Cheddar Sandwiches
  • Tuna and Chicken Salad Sandwiches
  • The Big N’ Toasted and Angus steak and egg breakfast sandwiches
  • Flatbread Items
  • Some Muffins and Bagel Items

Let's all take a deep breath and recognize that Dunkin Donuts still have donuts!
