Florida Georgia Line singer Tyler Hubbard and his wife, Hayley, just got startling news: the baby boy they thought they were having is actually a girl. The singer admits he's having "so many emotions," but is "really really excited."

The couple learned (what they thought was) the sex of their baby at a gender reveal party in June, days after they revealed to the world that they're expecting. "God's got jokes...... After thinking we are having a boy for the last few months, turns out the blood test was wrong and we're actually having a little girl," Hubbard shared via Instagram Friday morning (Aug. 4).

"So many emotions, but really really excited about this next chapter even if God does like throwing us a curve ball every now and then. Just keeping us on our toes," he continues, closing with the sweet hashtag "#daddysgirl."

The couple announced they're expecting their first baby on June 7, and that night Hayley showed off her baby bump on the red carpet at the 2017 CMT Music Awards. Hubbard says he and his wife are excited about their new addition, which is due in December.

"I think there’s a lot that we’re going to get to learn," he tells People. "I think Hayley and I both really love learning and growing as people. And I think for us, it’s the next phase and the next stage of life that God can really teach us a lot and show us patience … and selflessness."

Hayley says Hubbard is going to have to be the disciplinarian, adding, "He’s going to be the best. He’s just the most loving, helpful guy. I’m so lucky to have him as my husband."
