A trio of country superstars was just too much for nine other nominees to overcome. Tim McGraw's 'Highway Don't Care,' a chart-topping collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, was voted the best song of 2013 at the recent Taste of Country Awards.

Fans pushed the track from 'Two Lanes of Freedom' past Carrie Underwood's 'Two Black Cadillacs.' McGraw's winning margin (less than two percent) was one of the slimmest of the eight categories. Fans traded votes until the final moments of this month-long balloting period.

In third place was Blake Shelton's 'Mine Would Be You,' followed by 'I Drive Your Truck' by Lee Brice. Kip Moore's 'Hey Pretty Girl' finished fourth, then it was 'Wagon Wheel' by Darius Rucker, 'Mama's Broken Heart' by Miranda Lambert, 'Done' by the Band Perry, 'Follow Your Arrow' by Kacey Musgraves and 'Downtown' by Lady Antebellum.

This is McGraw's first Taste of Country Award -- an honor he helped earn by urging fans to vote via Facebook. Last year, this award went to Swift for 'Begin Again.'
