What's the best way to warm up for a concert? Well, in the case of Thomas Rhett, that would be taking in some fresh air with the people he loves the most. Rhett shared a photo on Saturday (June 30) showing off what he did ahead of his Denver, Colo. set that evening—namely, took a hike around the stunning St. Mary's Glacier area with wife and kids in tow.

St. Mary's Glacier is just a hour's drive from Denver, and it certainly looks as if the family soaked in some beautiful scenery during their trek.

Meanwhile, they could also cross "workout" off their daily to-do list: Rhett's wife Lauren showed off her athletic endurance with a snap boasting she'd hiked up and down the mountain with a "chunky monkey"—aka younger daughter Ada James—on her back. (If you've ever tried a similar feat yourself, you know how quickly those little people can start to feel super heavy!) Rhett himself appeared to be toting older daughter Willa Gray, so he definitely got his sweat on, as well.

Rhett, who has been out on the road on his Life Changes Tour, is also opening some dates (including his most recent Denver show) on Kenny Chesney 's Trip Around the Sun Tour along with Old Dominion and Brandon Lay.

Rhett's solo tour resumes in Bangor, Maine, on Sept. 13,  and runs through October. Brett Young is slated to open all of the dates, while Carly Pearce, Midland, Russell Dickerson and Jillian Jacqueline will appear in select cities.
