The big project is underway and will last until November.

According to a Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) press release "MDOT is investing $15.5 million to build a dual-roundabout interchange at I-94 and Sprinkle Road. The north roundabout will serve Sprinkle Road, the west leg of Cork Street, and the westbound I-94 off ramp. The south roundabout will include Sprinkle Road and the eastbound I-94 on and off ramps. The east leg of Cork Street will become the westbound I-94 off ramp, and the Cork Street bridge over I-94 will be removed."

Here's what you can expect

  • Nightly lane closures on EB and WB I-94.

  • I-94 ramps to/from Sprinkle Road and Cork Street are closed.

  • Cork St. bridge over I-94 is closed and will be demolished.

  • Lane closures on Sprinkle Road between Cork Street and Midlink Drive- one lane will remain open in each direction.
