The Next Time You Fly from Grand Rapids to Orlando, There Might Be A Band on the Plane
Who says there are no more perks in air travel? Southwest airlines has just launched "Concerts on the Fly," in-flight entertainment from live bands at 35,000 feet.
You'll wish you had your lighter back from the TSA who confiscated it at the gate if you end up on one of these flights. Southwest Airlines, with daily flights from Grand Rapids' Gerald Ford International Airport has been booking bands to perform midair mini-concerts.
Artists who have performed so far include Andy Grammer, American Idol winners Lee DeWyze and Kris Allen, Straight No Chaser, NeedToBreathe, Mat Kearney, Barenaked Ladies, Better Than Ezra and others.
