Have you had your phone ring right in the middle of a meeting, a grocery store, sitting at the dinner table just to hear that your car warranty is about to expire? Here's what you can do about it. 

Recently, we learned of a class action lawsuit against Resort Marketing Group, Inc. where you could get $900 if you received one of these calls.

I have been on the radio, in the car or streaming music on a run. Suddenly the phone rings and I hear "Attention, we have tried to contact you about your car's warranty that is about to expire or has already expired. We are giving you one last chance before we close the file for good..."

I have literally received 12 calls in one day! one even had a name of a business I know and so I answered. They got me again! AGAIN! I'm tired of these calls. I have tried several apps that say they block these calls, and while they do catch a lot of those annoying telemarketers and Robo-calls, they don't get them all.

So what can we do? First, report them to the Better Business Bureau. Next, follow the advice of the FCC,

Do not provide any personal information, such as a social security number, credit card information, driver’s license number or bank account information to any caller unless you can verify you are dealing directly with a legitimate company with which you have an established business relationship.

Here is an FCC resource for your wireless number to help with blocking these calls. Now, let's hope we can get another class action settlement before this gets out of hand. What am I saying, it is out of hand!
