Making the media rounds in support of her new album, Sing it Now: Songs of Faith and Hope, Reba McEntire makes a stop on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday (Feb. 8).

McEntire sits down with the late night host to chat about the new project, talking about how it all came together. She reveals sisters Alice and Susie, in addition to her 90-year-old mother, all sing with her on "I'll Fly Away," a song they all used to sing in church together.

Diving in on the fun, Meyers pulls out some old photos the country star has been sharing across social media of funny throwback shots to her more adventurous styles, including a hairstyle McEntire's humorously dubbed the "jacked up to Jesus," adding that she's "proud" of her wild looks.

They also talk about McEntire's upcoming TV show on ABC that's been dubbed a "Southern Gothic soap opera" and is set to be a diversion from the comedic styling she's known for on Reba and Malibu Country. A one-hour drama, the show is written by Marc Cherry, the creator behind Desperate Housewives, who said the singer was his "muse" while writing the new series. "I'm ready, I'm so looking forward to it," McEntire says of the new role.

The country star also admits she's both excited and nervous for her upcoming solo shows at the Ryman Auditorium, revealing that the only vacation her family took was to visit the historic venue. "To go to the Grand Ole Opry and to get to watch Marty Robbins and Connie Smith and all the greats perform on this round piece of wood and I'm going to be there too. I'm really excited about it," McEntire says.

The "Back to God" singer is set to perform two shows at the Ryman on Wednesday (Feb. 15). Sing it Now is available now.
