Polar Bear Plunge in U.P. Cancelled Beacuse, Well, Michigan

Breaking News: Hancock, Michigan's Polar Dip has been cancelled due to warm weather.

An Upper Peninsula's Finnish Festival has had to cancel the dip into frigid Portage Lake because of warm temperatures leading to thin ice. Don't you worry, Nordic culture lovers, the parade, wife-carrying contest, kicksled races, Finnish hymn sing and Virsikannel making workshops will go on as scheduled.
