According to ScreenCrush, the esteemed actor was working on the ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1′ and ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2′ at the time of his death.

Hoffman is said to have died of a drug overdose, having been found by New York police in his apartment bathroom with a needle in his arm. He checked into a rehab facility last year for alcohol abuse.
