New Kalamazoo Menards Finally Opening

The long-awaited Gull Road location is opening in September.

Although the grand opening is not scheduled until September 16, Kalamazoo's second Menards at 5300 Gull Road will open to shoppers on September 1st, Comstock Township Officials have told MLive.

Plans for the hardware giant were announced in 2012 and the demolition of Gull Crossing Mall soon commenced.  New construction began in April 2014 and the new store seemed complete last Fall, but sat vacant through the holidays.

Home improvement enthusiasts will no longer have to travel all the way to Oshtemo for lumber, drywall, paint, bathroom fixtures, door hinges, laminate flooring, garage doors, patio furniture, ceiling fans, kitchen countertops, fencing, circuit breakers, screwdrivers or beef jerky.
