Even the Golden Bear didn't start out as a master.

On Jan. 8, 1962, 21-year-old Jack Nicklaus played in his first professional golf event.

He came in 50th place and won $33.33.

What if he was so discouraged that he gave up the game?

He would have never gone on to win 18 Masters Championships and become, what most consider, to be the greatest to ever play the game.

Can you imagine golf without Jack?

Exactly. Never give up.
