Michigan News Anchor Takes Hard Spill On Carnival Ride

This past weekend at the Uncle Sam Jam in Woodhaven, MI there was so much to do and see. The event was filled with fireworks, carnival rides and games, interactive displays and attractions, petting farm and camel rides and free concerts all weekend long. Of course, one of the main attractions is the carnival rides. 

News Anchor for WDIV Local 4 Detroit Nick Monacelli decided he wanted to do a live broadcast while showcasing one of the best rides there, the tall slippery slide. He was doing an interview at the time and wanted to race others down the slide. Shortly after taking off, he started to pick up momentum and ended up crashing against slide multiple times, getting tons of air before crash-rolling into the gate that surrounded the attraction.

Both his co-workers and him were in disbelief and laughing at his botched slide attempt. Luckily, he wasn't seriously hurt although he added, "That was more painful than I expected." Watch it below:
