The first day of Spring is March 20, but it is time to think about Summer.

Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wants you to know that some Michigan State Parks fill up as much as 6 months in advance for popular weekends like Labor Day.

You can make your reservations now at Michigan.gov and search sites on a map, on a list or by date. You can also book popular picnic shelters and look into lodging. Of course you will also find information on fees so you can plan your trip.

Michigan.org reports that the Great Lakes State has 101 state parks, 17 state-operated harbors, and 133 state forest campgrounds. Get out there and enjoy!
