Lake Effect Snow Will Blanket Kalamazoo
More than a foot of snow could be on the ground by Friday morning, December 9.
Snowfall of 1-2 inches per hour with blowing and drifting could be on the way as the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch late Wednesday night through Friday afternoon for Kalamazoo and much of Southwest Michigan.
- Snow showers will pick up in coverage and intensity overnight Wednesday night.
- Localized heavier snow bands are likely with 1-2" per hour possible.
- 15-25 MPH winds may cause blowing and drifting, limiting visibility on the roads.
- Roads will become snow-covered and slick toward the Thursday morning commute and last through Friday.
