Listen to Lady Antebellum’s New Song ‘This City’
Lady Antebellum have released "This City," another of the songs from their upcoming album Heart Break. Readers can press play above to listen to the new track.
Written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, Sara Haze and Will Weatherly, "This City" is an upbeat, feel-good song. Lady Antebellum say the track is one of their favorites off of their new album to perform live; in a YouTube video, Haywood says "This City" was a "super-fun song to record, which makes it an even more fun song to perform live."
"I immediately felt like, 'This is a live performance song,'" Scott says, adding, "It will make for a really great live moment."
"Street lights on fire / Couldn't get much higher / This city never looked so good the way it's lookin' so good on you," Lady Antebellum sing in the chorus of "This City." "Your hands in my jacket / Caught up in this magic / This city never looked so good the way it's lookin' so good on you."
"This City" is the fourth song that Lady Antebellum have shared from Heart Break; it's also Track No. 4 on the album. Its more carefree than "Somebody Else's Heart" and "Heart Break," the other non-single tracks that the country trio has revealed. The upbeat, soulful "You Look Good" is Lady A's first single from Heart Break, which is set for release on June 9.
Lady Antebellum launched their 2017 You Look Good World Tour on May 26. "This City" is, indeed, making appearances in their setlists on the trek.
