While on vacation in West Palm Beach, Fla., Kelsea Ballerini surprised Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley with a visit at his concert at City Play on Jan. 5. Since she was in town, Kelley invited her on stage to take over for bandmate Hillary Scott's part in singing their No. 1 hit, "Need You Now."

"Hillary and Kelsea are best friends, so I can't wait for her to see this on YouTube," Kelley tells the crowd. "This will be great. You gotta make her proud."

Ballerini held her own on the song, singing both Scott's solo part as well as harmonizing on the chorus with Kelley. Watch Ballerini and Kelley sing the song in the video above.

Late last year, Kelley's initial solo tour dates were postponed. A handful of dates have been rescheduled for April of this year.

"A portion of upcoming tour dates is moving to early 2016," he writes on his website. "For more information on rescheduled dates, check back here. Thanks for your continued support. Stay tuned for major album release news coming soon!"

He is slated to release a solo EP in 2016, and its lead single, "The Driver," earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The track features Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay.
