The idea of free ation has been something that has been debated for many years now with no proper solution. Many people feel like education should not be free or the other side of the argument is that with the continuous struggle to find your way into your desired career versus the amount of money that you spent to achieve your degree is completely off-balance.

It’s an argument that continues to go back and forth, but Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer has always been a proponent for free education. Recently, she attended Livonia career tech center to layout a plan that would make community college tuition free for every Michigander who graduated from high school.

This is something that Gretchen Whitmer feels confident about as she spoke recently:

If we can say Michigan is the first place in the country that says from four years until 20 we are going to educate people with the best skills without them having to take on debt, it will send a message to the rest of the world, to the economy, and to potential employers that this is the place you want to be

As with most things that come out of Governor Gretchen Whitmer's mouth, it was met with critisism and hot takes from people who think free education is a terrible idea, which prompted Michigan residents like Tom Whittaker to fire back, with a fair point:

We give tax breaks to the billionaires and nobody bats an eye but free education for our youth and you losers can’t hit the keyboard fast enough.
