The Midwest is home to many creative people in our current day, but has also been the home to some amazing inventors in Michigan. Then we have Orville Gibson, who we know as the father of Gibson guitars in Kalamazoo, Michigan. These are three iconic inventors and inventions that have changed the world completely. But that’s not to say that surrounding states like Ohio are without inventors who have shaped the world with their inventions.

For example, Charles Kettering is the person that you should be thanking if you have an electric starter for your car. If it wasn’t for his 1911 invention, we still be cranking engines to get them to turn on.
