People in Michigan, who have purchased specific prepackaged pasta meals from Trader Joe’s, Walmart, and Kroger need to be careful because the Food and Drug Administration has warned that a case of listeria, which has led to six people dying in 25 people being hospitalized, has been reported.
The FDA has warned that the following products, sold at the following markets, have been recalled and urges anybody who may have these items to double-check the refrigerators and freezers for any of the recalled items.
Here are the recalled items:
* Sprouts Farmers Market Smoked Mozzarella Pasta Salad - product use by dates 10/10/25 - 10/29/25 (Sprouts Farmers Market recall)
* Giant Eagle smoked mozzarella pasta salad – expiration dates 9/30/25 through 10/7/25 (Giant Eagle recall)
* Kroger stores recalled deli bowtie and penne pasta salads – sold on AUG 29 2025 thru OCT 2 2025 (Kroger recall)

As of November 4th, cases have been reported in 18 states: California, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
