If you are a Kalamazoo artist and want to be featured in a coloring book, the Vine Neighborhood is looking for artists to submit a simple, black-and-white drawing of any areas in Vine Neighborhood areas that could potentially be put into a coloring book to be released in March 2024.

The Vine Neighborhood Association recently announced that they are currently taking submissions with the potential of getting your drawing in the book, and receiving one yourself:

Calling all Vine artists, drafters, and doodlers. The VNA is putting together a vine coloring book and we need your help. We are looking for simple, black-and-white drawings of our neighborhood that we can compile into a unique book of coloring fun for all ages. Those selected will be credited on the cover and receive a free copy.
Drawings and questions can be submitted to info@vineneighborhood.org and the images must be 300 dpi. That is also the same email where submissions can be sent, but the cut-off date is Saturday, February 17 by the end of the day. They publicly invited everyone for a book release on Friday, March 1, and the proceeds from book sales will go towards funding more public ate in the Vine neighborhood.
Even if you don't consider yourself an artist, this isn't a bad thing to try and see if you could land yourself in a book that will be cherished by an entire community. Personally, my art would be better if I drew with the pencil in my teeth, but I may give this a go to see what I can come up with.
