Michigan Snowmobiler Share Video Of Rare Wolf Encounter
Michigan is one of the snowier states in the country and many parts of the state see large amounts of snowfall each year. In the places where the snow falls the heaviest there are many people choose to have snowmobiles as a form of transportation. Also, I would imagine that riding a snowmobile is quite fun.

Although it may be fun to tear up the snow or you may need to get into town but riding a snowmobile can be dangerous in many ways. Obviously, this is a multi-hundred-pound vehicle that can be hard to control so crashes are always a concern along with ice and other weather conditions. The other concern is the wildlife that surrounds us on a daily basis.
Seeing animals like coyotes, deer, and racoons have become common all over the state of Michigan but there are still some animals that we don't see as often as others. There are some bears and moose that live in the Mitten state which we don't see as often but we do see wolves more than them, but they aren't common either.
This snowmobile rider in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan did more than just see a wolf while out riding one day. Chris Jones, a welder from La Crosse, Wisconsin was riding his snowmobile with friends in late February. They were enjoying their time until they came around a corner and were face to face with a large wolf.
Jones said:
We came to a complete stop, and he wasn’t scared of us. He walked around and kept trying to walk toward us. We backed up to give him some room. Then he rolled around on the other side of the trail. Then he kind of walked away and just stood there. It was both neat and scary. It’s a wild animal and you don’t know how it’s going to react. Nothing like this, though. It’s not something that I’ve ever seen.
The encounter took place in Marquette Michigan just 12 miles south of Big Bay. Below is some footage that Jones was able to capture of the insane run in with the Wolf which was posted in YouTube.
