Michigan City Among Best Street Art Cities In America
Graffiti, murals, and other forms of street art have been around for decades and don't look to be going away any time soon. I will acknowledge that graffiti is not legal and shouldn't be done without proper permits and other legal matters being handled first. Now that we got that out of the way, street art can be some of the most beautiful things humans can do for their community.

When you take a look at street art, a lot of it is paying homage to the people of the community or significant events that have taken place. Other times, it will be an abstract piece that just adds to the nearby scenery. Most of the time, street art is an approved mural of someone or something that speaks to the community.
I personally like graffiti and the creativity it brings to the world. I also think it allows people to share their skills with their community while also making it more aesthetically pleasing. This combination of creativity and skill has brought recognition to the state of Michigan.
USA Today put together a list of the cities that have the best street art scenes in the entire country and one Michigan city found themselves inside of the top 5. Do you have any guesses of what city it could be? Yeah, just like we all thought, Detroit was ranked the 4th best street art city on the list in the United States.
Here's what USA Today had to say about Detroit and how they earned their spot on the list:
You can take in Motor City's mural art from the seat of your car. Detroit’s Grand River Creative Corridor stands out as a highlight, with nearly 100 murals between Rosa Parks Boulevard and Warren Avenue. Alternatively, you can ride the Detroit People Mover's 2.9-mile loop and explore Art in the Stations' collection of 13 mixed-media displays.
There are hundreds of murals across Detroit, and you can browse them on the interactive City Walls Detroit Mural Map.
