There are many things that the state of Michigan is known for like apples, cherries, the Great Lakes, and automobiles. In addition to all of those things, the Mitten state is also known for their love of beer and all of the brewing that they do. There are hundreds of breweries located within the state and some of them are not only nationally recognized but also internationally known.

Many residents in Michigan are pleased with all of the beer options they have and are even able to convince many outsiders to visit and experience the brewery tour. Many of the breweries have a wide selection of beers from light drafts, domestic beers, IPA's, ciders, and sours. All of these are popular beer types, but I would argue there is one that is liked more than the others in Michigan.

Many beer drinkers in the Mitten like to enjoy an ale beer and many of the breweries either excel in ales or have at least one if not more on the menu to offer its patrons. One of the most famous is Bell's Brewery who is known for both their Oberon and Two Hearted Ales.

You know what would make a beer drinker extremely happy? An opportunity to enjoy several different kinds of beers in one central location with food, music, and other interests. Well, look no further as Michigan is home to a beer festival that anyone would enjoy.
