There is a wide range of slang terms that are used today that I don't understand. One I hear allot is "fleek" But where do some of these words come from.According to History.com, The Boston Post first used it in 1839.

OK was propelled into the limelight when it was printed in the Boston Morning Post as part of a joke. Its popularity exploded when it was picked up by contemporary politicians.

Now, I hear my pre-teen daughter use words like "crae" "bae" and "fleek" and I'm Still not sure what most of them mean. Plus, everyone takes "selfie's" and even "foodie's" (a photo of your food getting cold at a restaurant while you show the world what you're eating).

As far as 'fleek' goes, Newsweek  credits a teen in the suburbs of chicago.

A high schooler in the Chicago suburbs named Kayla Newman, who says she came up with the term on the spot and used it in a six-second video posted to Vine last June.

One thing I do know, none of them will ever be "da bomb" and won't stand the test of time like "all that and a bag of chips". Did I just go there? Yes, I did, so talk to the hand! OH SNAP!
