Girls & Guns- Why Do Kalamazoo Women Love To Shoot?
We asked members of a Kalamazoo women's only shooting group about the appeal of firearms.
On a snowy Saturday in November we dropped in on A Girl and A Gun, a women's only shooting group in Kalamazoo to talk about the appeal of a pistol, the fascination of a firearm, the glamour of guns.
As you will see in the video below, members had a number of different reasons they were interested in hands-on training with other women. Some enjoyed the camaraderie of the classroom and the desire to learn with other people. A feeling of empowerment was mentioned more than once and nearly all of the women enjoyed the judgement-free atmosphere created by the all-female dynamic of the women's only group.
