Get to Know Which Plants are Safe to Eat at Wild Edibles Workshop

Have you ever wondered which wild plants are edible?  Your chance to learn is coming up on September 8th.

Join the Wild Edibles Workshop at the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary to learn all about wild edible plants. The workshop will be led by the Sanctuary staff and Dr. Danielle Zoellner, and will begin with a brief educational presentation in the Sanctuary’s auditorium. The group will walk the Lake Loop trail and participants will look for tasty plants as a team and learn about the plants that they encounter. Participants will receive informational materials and enjoy a wild edible picnic!

The workshop will be held on September 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost of attendance is $25/member, and $35/non-member. Registration is required by September 5, and participation is limited to 20 individuals, so early registration is encouraged.
